some guy had about 20 packages of prime rib in his buggy....about 4 cows. WTH??!

Peace, Bitches!!

We got a Sam's Club Membership.

I really like it...buttttt
where the hell am I supposed to put 50 rolls of toilet paper? or 35 waffles? and HUGE boxes of cereal?!

it will help for vacation tho, since I plan on taking alot of the food with us. Each boy is bringing a friend...so we will have 6 teenage boys in the house, along with 6 adults and 2 little kids....and a dog. so we will be eating alot! and I need to apologize now, ahead of time, cuz I am obsessed with vacation....so I will be talking about it alot. It's been five very very long years since we've been to the Outer banks, and we are long over due. We're going in June and it cannot get here soon enough for me.

But I did find a homemade salsa at Sam's that is AWESOME!!!! Tastes almost as good as mine! ;)

So, do you shop at Sam's or Costco?...and what is it you get?

Holy COW! ha ha ha! I crack myself up!

I don't do Sam's or Costco cuz it's just me!! And I have no storage! Mostly, I store things like huge packs of toilet paper in the back of my CRV!

I'm so happy about your upcoming vacation! And I want to hear about it! It will be a blast!

I'm a Costco girl. We used to have both, but I dropped the Sam's last month. I buy paper products, diapers and wipes, contact lenses, gum, detergents, bacon, bananas, meat, milk, cheese...just about anything I can afford!

I wish I could go to Sam's and/or Costco - because it would save me some money (which I need desperately). But I don't go to either store because...

1. There are no Sam's or Costco's in Manhattan.

2. I don't have a car.

3. I only have one closet and no pantry - so there is no room in my apartment to store stuff in "bulk".

4. If I bought a 10-pound bag of Onion Rings, I would eat all those bitches in one sitting!

I LOOOOOOOVE your "Peace, Bitches" avatar!!

XOXOXOXOXOXO

Buying in bulk - same problem - no place to store it all!

Six teenage boys?? You are a saint.

We don't have a membership ay either place. We usually go to the dollar store or my favorite place Target! And when I go to Target to get one thing, why is it that I'm usually in their at least a hour or more? And come out with more than one thing!

I love Costco. I bought my television there. LOL But, when I'm not buying electronics, I buy multi-packs of chewing gum and bags of pecans for holiday baking. I have a friend added on my membership as my partner (it's fun getting mail addressed to me and him), we take turns paying the membership premium each year.

Six teenage boys. The mind boggles.
Costco here in the PNW. One of my friends had a house built and her firm request was a 'Costco Kitchen' - which is a walk in pantry where all the mega amts. of stuff can be stored.

I cleared out two shelves in my linen closet for our stuff. Some of it goes right into The Engineer's car as he takes it out to work. I'm really careful about stuff coming into the house. It MUST have a designated spot or it doesn't get bought!

Sam's. They've both got some pretty good things, but the membership at Sam's is a bit cheaper (they have a student rate).

DIAPERS!!! Holy Hannah, they're so much cheaper!

AND they have some sweet deals for vacations; we're going to Vegas in a couple of weeks, and we got a great deal! (One night away without the kid, I'm SO EXCITED!!!!)

We are Costco people. I thought you couldn't leave the store w/o toilet paper. When I buy snack food, I have to hide some of it or Stephen will go through it too quickly. Besides snack food and paper products, I get meat, cat litter, big bottles of shampoo & conditioner -- really boring stuff.

We like Sam's b/c it's closer to us than any Costco.
What I don't like about Sam's: I can't get out of there cheap. Sure, the stuff may carry us through for a while (you know...like 24 cans of corn...) but---paying the bill at the end of the shopping trip: ouch.

We like that you can eat in our Sam's. They have a little place at the front of the store where they sell pizza & pretzels & drinks. that sort of stuff. Well, as Hubby is checking out & paying---I go order a pizza to take home. That way we have instant dinner when we get home, and a large pizza is only $7 or $8.

Sams. Aluminum foil, charcoal, large containers of spices, cheese, meat, dog and cat food, papergoods, etc.

I used to shop at Sam's, but honestly, if you break down the cost of most things, you aren't saving much, if any, money at all if you watch sales ads for other stores. Plus, you have to pay to shop at Sam's. And when I was a military wife (for 20 years) you can get items WAY cheaper at the commisary than you could ever hope to get them at Sam's. And when the commissary had tent sales, (where they have cases of food on sale under a tent) you could buy that stuff and have it last 6 months or more, or until the next tent sale, and I bet it was 1/2 what Sam's cost.

Short answer? I don't shop there anymore.
