Zombie Mom did a post the other day about her Best Trip in 2009.
well, 2009 was the year of trips for me and its really hard to decide.
It all started with NYC in May. Gawd, how I wish I could go back and do this trip all. over. again!!! I had THE BEST time. It gave me some lasting friendships that have matured over the past couple of months, and those friends have become family to me. It started my journey on self-discovery and finding out who I really am now. Nothing wrong with that!
then I had family vacation in Nags Head. Got HORRIBLE staph infection. nuff said.
then came my trip to TN with Bina. OMG!!!!! ROAD TRIP!!!!!! Some of the best times Ive ever had with Bean.....EVER. It had been almost 20 years since we had seen each other and we picked up right where we left off. I want to be her neighbor and eat dinner with her every night and sit on her deck drinking "Fruity robinas" every night..under the stars. oh how I wish this could be true.
Then came San Diego. Ahhhhhhhhhh San Diego. What can I say about good old SD? well, it was a FABULOUS trip, and I got to meet Mary and Glo and hang with Nancy...see old friends from high school and hang with them....go to the beach, take some fatastical photos....lose part of myself and find other parts of myself that I thought were long gone. I learned some valuable lessons in SD and will always be grateful for my time there, and the people there. I want to MOVE there one day...maybe sooner than later. It was very hard to leave as SD was kind of ideal for me. And that broke my heart. so I have some sadness when I think of San Diego too. But mostly good times....goooood times.

If you can’t decide which one is best, you’re one very lucky lady! That means they were all equally wonderful. (Okay, maybe the one with the staph infection wasn't on a par with the others...)
What a 2009 you’ve had!
beth: I know, right? crazy year for me...but an unforgetable one.
Such delightful adventures!
Now that I'm working again & hopefully Mister will be soon after the new year I'm looking forward to being able to go on vacation again! Ugh, 2009 was a NO vacation year for us. Booh!
I spent two weeks in SD this year and I have to admit it wasn't horrible. I think I'd prefer to live further north on the coast but I do love CA.
gotta love some travel...I don't know if I could do a best trip, it's always good.
Travel is something I plan to do a little more of in 2010..
Isn't it time to think about another NYC trip?
Howard: I think you have a fabulous idea there!!!
Wow - I didn't realize how much you traveled this year. You are so lucky. All I did was go to Pennsylvania a couple of times. But I DID pick up a fabulous kitty during one of those trips, and for that I am grateful.
And YES, another NYC trip needs to happen soon!!!
XOXOXOXO
Not trying to burst any bubbles but you better bring a boatload of money to San Diego. Renting a shack in a bad neighborhood costs an arm and a leg...and that's just the begininng. it's not what it once was...just sayin'...expensive.
