I finally did some shopping yesterday...not much, of course, but I DID get out there in the trenches.

The thing is this, I guess...

Christmas isn't so much fun anymore.

My kids are older and practically grown and the excitement just isn't' there anymore, ya know?

they pretty much know that they're getting whatever they ask for...within reason, of course!..

I still have NO tree up, NO baking done (and I don't think its gonna happen at all, except for truffles and that's not even baking)no cards sent out, no decorations up....ugh. what is wrong with me this year?

I get like this every year tho...so I need to pull myself up from my bra straps and just do it, like Nike says, before Tiger went sexually crazy.

And speaking of Tiger, can we just leave that man and his family alone already? geezzzz....of course he cheated! lets be real here people...he's rich, he's a celebrity and a sports icon...of course he cheated. I don't have much faith in mankind as a whole, huh? ;) but I mean, to think that he wouldn't cheat is a bit unrealistic, I think. Money can do strange things to people. Power too.

I've decided that since 2009 was my "traveling year" I need to make 2010 a year with even MORE traveling!

so far, I'm thinking of a trip to NYC in January to hopefully see Howard and Tranny(who knows nothing of this...surprise Tranny!)...a trip to Cancun in February and California in March. Hmm...and maybe I'll throw a little Tampa in there too.....

I've realized this....I HATE to be in one spot for too long. I have to travel and see the world. That seems to be when I'm happiest and at my most content.

So that's my plan for the New Year.
