me and Bean. This was Sunday night, at the hotel in Jackson. Bean picked me up at the Nashville airport and off we went! Got in the car and took off for Texas. Well, it started raining like a big dog, so we stopped for the night. Changed clothes and tried to find a place to go! We finally went to Logan's, had a few drinks and then collapsed into bed.


Hi John! this is John De Mado, the man I sat next to on the plane. I really enjoyed talking to him. He was funny and charming.



Bean playing pool at the Ranch House. Let me tell ya, I had SO much fun at this bar! My first country bar. I am sooo not a country music fan, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. ;) We played pool, and they had a live band that night. so, the guys from the band keep walking by us playing pool, bringing in their equipment and stuff. The drummer..another John!, came over and grabbed my hand and dragged me out to the dance floor. and he taught me to do the "2-step"...at least I think it was the 2-step. that man danced me around that floor like nothing I've ever seen! he was in control,let me tell ya. Never danced like that before! Then we met a couple of guys playing pool on the table beside us...Rick and John. yes, another John! geez...that name is so boring!! ;)

So we hung out with Rick and John all night...laughing and dancing and drinking. Well, they drank...I drank water after my 2 cranberry & vodkas. It was fun...no pressure, no trying to pick us up...just people talking and having fun.


Me, Bean and her friend Wayne. Lunch at a Mexican place in Dallas...Wayne owns a motorcycle shop, repairing Harley's and doing custom painting. the bikes in there were FANTASTIC!!!


Bean and her boys, Kekoa and Brice. We drove to Kerrville to see them, got another hotel room, and spent the day with the boys. It was so much fun spending time with them..I hadn't seen them in 20 years! they were babies the last time I saw them, and now they're MEN. and funny! they were like a couple of puppies, seriously. I can't wait to see them again.

that's all I've got for now. I gotta get busy. I'm signing a contract for a new job today, gotta get to the school and do some talking to them about Austin. and my house...or lord. gone for a week and you'd think it was a YEAR. whew.
