the trip where i got stranded in salt lake city and had to spend the night in a hotel before flying into san jose while my luggagge went on to oakland

I'm in california.

and its cold and rainy.

that's what i left in Ohio.....ugh.

BUT

I have spent some wonderful time with Nancy and Mary....great times walking and talking....drinking wine and eating carbs!!!!

so so many people don't get blogging...

yes, that could be true...there COULD be serial killers out there...but these women? not serial killers. But they are family to me. very good friends to me who totally have my back.

So............its been raining like crazy. we did go to the beach yesterday and tried to have a bonfire, but it wouldn't light. so we took over some other folk's bonfire after they left!!!

Today we braved the rain and went for a long ride in the car....touring santa cruz and got lost up in the mountains....all 3 of us getting car sick. we made it back to "malibu Barbie's Beach House" adn did some carb loading and some puking. all felt better afterwards.

I think the best part so far is this...having time to sit and talk..cook together...shop together....dance together...sit at the table this morning drinking coffee and eating brownies. Playing with The Girls.....mary and I walked in and they RAN to us and jumped into our arms! Obviously, mama had been talking about us and getting The Girls ready to meet Aunt Mary and aunt Beth. fabulous!!!

and the plane trip here? horrendous. but that is for another post. adn the drama that went down yesterday with some friends on Facebook...another post. While I like Facebbook, the drama that comes with it is sooooo not worth it. I left that drama in high school...and that's where it should stay.

So, it's 10:48 west coast time....there is a fire in the fireplace..a couple of glasses of wine on the coffee table...and rain hitting the skylights. and quiet coming from the bedroom, meaning 2 little girls are finally asleep.
