Another Thanksgiving, come and gone.
And Im glad cuz Im sick to death of turkey. I like turkey...ONCE A YEAR. But I get sick of it...it's a bit "rich" for me. But the sweet potato pies I NEVER get sick of. ;)
I cooked and cooked,,,and then cooked some more on Thursday. The 2 older boys were still at school, so it seemed strange not to have them here to help me. I guess I better get used to it, tho, huh?. Cuz times they are a changing.
The youngest boy will graduate in May. And my life will take an entirely different turn. But I'm ready. I'm really ready!! It wont sneak up on me and surprise me and leave me devastated!
I have so many balls in the air right now, but I love it. I also have some really fantatic ideas for a series of children's books, so Im shopping for a publisher. I see the whole idea fleshed out, and it looks pretty good fleshed out, if I do say so myself.
So I haven't had much free time lately. It's hard to keep track of blogs, twitter, facebook..blah blah blah....so much social media, so little time. But who of us ISN"T busy, right?
this is totally random, but that chick on the foodnetwork...Melissa something? She's blond and a mom...$10 dinners I think is one of her shows.? I don't like her. Just thought I'd throw that out in the universe so it can come back and bite me in the ass one day. It's not HER exactly, but the way she talks. God, I need to work on not being so judgmental. :) But I would like to hang out with Sandra Lee, cuz you know girlfriend knows how to have a good time!!!! Plus when you got the munchies afterward, she'd cook up something yummy. If she wasn't too wasted herself.
Ok, I need to get back to post production. I have an engagement shoot that I need to finish editing and mail off to the happy couple. I will be checking in on y'all in a bit!

Life is fleeting
Well, I think it might be time.
Again, I have to put down another beloved animal.
Our dog, Maddie, is 11 years old. And she has a huge tumor in her chest that is getting larger and larger, making it hard for her to move and breathe.
and Im heartbroken.
Again
We had 3 dogs. Jake, a Shepard. Trooper and Maddie, our Labs. So Maddie is the last of an era. She's had a hard year without Trooper. Murff has helped her a little bit, but she misses Her Boy alot.
So I like knowing that they will all be together again. But its gonna be so hard not to see her pretty face every day, and her loving on my boys. she is a total BOY dog. she does NOT like girls...never has, never will. But the minute one of the boys walks into the room, she's in a puddle at their feet. and she insists on them calling her Baby Girl, which they gladly do. She's our DIVA. and once you live with a DIVA, its hard to imagine life without her.
Sooooooooooooooo..............I need to talk to our vet.
That's a phone call I find very hard to make.
